Terms of Service
Effective 9 October 2026
These terms govern your use of Inqlo (inqlo.app), operated by Agamjot Singh, an individual based in New South Wales, Australia ("we," "us"). By using Inqlo, you agree to these terms.
What Inqlo Is
Inqlo is an early-stage tool that turns your uploaded lecture slides and PDFs into structured, exam-ready study notes, using AI models including Google's Gemini API. Inqlo also offers related study features — a per-lecture chat panel, a problem-solving tool (Solver), quizzes and flashcards, and Exam Dump (study games and YouTube links are planned and not yet available), which generates a study pack from multiple uploaded documents. Inqlo is an early-stage product with a free plan and an optional paid plan (Pro). Features, availability, and quality may change without notice, and the service may be modified, interrupted, or discontinued at any time.
Eligibility
You must be at least 14 years old to use Inqlo. If you are under 18, you may use Inqlo only with the awareness of a parent or legal guardian, and their consent where required by the law of your jurisdiction.
Paid plans are different. Because paid plans involve a binding payment obligation, minors generally can't enter into that contract on their own. If you're under 18 and want a paid plan, a parent or legal guardian must be the one who sets up and pays for the subscription, and by doing so, they agree to these Terms on your behalf for that purpose. Free features remain available under the general 14+ eligibility above regardless.
Your Content
Notes and generated content. You retain full ownership of the notes, summaries, and other study materials Inqlo generates for you from your uploaded materials. We claim no ownership over them.
Materials you upload. You are solely responsible for the lecture slides, PDFs, and other materials you upload to Inqlo ("Uploaded Materials"). By uploading materials, you confirm that:
- You have the right to upload them — this includes complying with your university's, course's, or instructor's policies on sharing or processing lecture materials with third-party tools;
- You are not uploading materials in a way that infringes someone else's copyright or other rights;
- The materials do not contain another person's private or sensitive information submitted without their consent;
- You are not using Inqlo to facilitate academic dishonesty (for example, sharing exam or assessment content in ways that violate your institution's academic integrity policies).
Inqlo processes your Uploaded Materials only to generate your personal study content — we do not share them with other users, make them publicly accessible, or use them to train AI models ourselves (our AI providers' own terms are described below). If you're ever unsure whether uploading a particular set of materials is permitted under your institution's policies, that's a question for your institution, not something Inqlo can resolve for you.
Please also see our Privacy Policy regarding how Uploaded Materials are processed by our AI providers. Inqlo currently uses free-tier AI services: the notes pipeline, study tools, chat and Solver use the free tier of Google's Gemini API, and Exam Dump uses a free-tier model via OpenRouter. Under those providers' terms, submitted content may be used to improve their services and may be reviewed by humans, so please don't upload materials containing sensitive personal information.
Copyright Complaints
If you believe content generated through Inqlo, or content uploaded by another user, infringes your copyright, contact us at info@inqlo.app with a description of the material and the basis for your claim, and we'll investigate promptly.
No Warranty on AI Output
Inqlo's generated notes, summaries, and other AI output ("Outputs") are provided "as is." We do not guarantee that:
- Outputs will be accurate, complete, or error-free;
- Outputs faithfully capture everything in your source material — you should treat generated notes as a study aid, not a replacement for reviewing your original lecture materials;
- The service will be available at all times or free of bugs.
You are responsible for reviewing and verifying any Outputs before relying on them for study or assessment purposes. Inqlo is a study aid, not a substitute for your own learning, judgment, or primary course materials.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Inqlo, including any loss of data. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months before the claim (which is zero if you are only using the free plan).
Nothing in these terms limits liability where it cannot lawfully be limited under Australian Consumer Law.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Upload materials you don't have the right to upload, or use Inqlo in a way that violates your institution's academic integrity or content-sharing policies;
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, or abuse Inqlo's infrastructure;
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract the underlying system beyond normal use of the product;
- Use Inqlo to generate content intended to deceive, defraud, or impersonate someone;
- Share your account credentials with others, or access another user's account without permission.
We reserve the right to suspend or restrict access to anyone who violates these terms.
Free Plan, Pro and Payment
Inqlo has a free plan and a planned paid plan (Pro). The free plan is limited to two lectures per account, for the life of the account — deleting a lecture does not restore the allowance. Each free lecture includes one generated set of notes, quiz, flashcards, practice problems and glossary. Regenerating content, lecture chat, Solver, Exam Dump, deeper notes and subject-level tools (summaries, flashcards, exams and study plans) are part of Pro. Fair-use limits apply to AI features such as lecture chat and the Solver (for example, caps on messages per hour and per day), so that the service stays available to everyone. We may change these limits over time.
Pro subscription. Pro costs A$11.99 per month (Australian dollars, including GST where it applies). It is billed monthly in advance through Stripe when you subscribe, and then renews automatically each month, on the same date, until you cancel. We never see or store your full card details; Stripe handles them.
Cancelling. You can cancel at any time from Settings, using "Manage billing". Cancelling stops future charges, and Pro stays active until the end of the month you've already paid for. After that your account returns to the free plan: nothing is deleted, but Pro features lock again and the free-plan limits apply.
Failed payments. If a renewal payment fails, Stripe retries the card for a short period and you keep Pro while it does. If it still can't be collected, the subscription ends and your account moves to the free plan.
Refunds. Because you can cancel at any time and keep Pro until the end of the paid month, we don't give refunds for part-used months or for changing your mind. If something went wrong (you were charged twice, charged after cancelling, or Pro didn't work), email info@inqlo.app and we'll put it right. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, including to a remedy if the service has a major failure.
Price changes. If we change the price of Pro, we'll tell you by email at least 30 days before the new price applies to your next renewal, so you can cancel first if you want to.
Deleting your account. Deleting your account cancels any Pro subscription immediately and can't be undone.
If you asked to be notified when Pro launched, we used your email only for that (see our Privacy Policy).
Changes to the Service and These Terms
We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of Inqlo, and may update these terms, at any time. If we make significant changes, we'll aim to note them on the site. Continued use of Inqlo after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to Inqlo at any time, particularly in cases of misuse as described above. You may delete your account and all associated content at any time from your account settings.
